I found this post which provides a representation of the political crowds aligned with American convoys in general. An explanation for how they compiled the dataset can be found here. I generally don’t post long threads of tweets, but this thread is an interesting commentary on the impact of the convoys thus far.

As the People's Convoy gets ready to leave Hagerstown for LA tomorrow, I was curious to see what kind of footprint it and its kin left. Here's what we've captured in @crowdcounting so far for the various convoys and supporting demos. That's a lot of action.

From various chats and videos, I also know that our record misses a fair number of supporting demos on freeway overpasses and the like. We captured as many of those as we could, but many of them didn't leave digital traces visible to us.

Part of my motivation in posting this is to counter the narrative that the convoys were a flop because they petered out or just ended up circling DC like Don Quixote tilting at a windmill.

That's all true, but along the way they also produced a lot of mobilizational energy and probably built some new communities.

If you're excited about the convoys' mission and message, you're probably glad to hear that. If, like me, you think their mission is toxic, then this is a reminder to look at the larger picture and take this wave of actions and the movement it represents very seriously.

The People’s Convoy

The People’s Convoy arrived near Knoxville, TN today. The convoy will journey to Little Rock, Arkansas tomorrow. The tentative route for the convoy can be found below.

American Freedom Convoy

The American Freedom Convoy remained in Hagerstown, MD. They are planning to move to a new location this coming Thursday. The group is small and it is unclear what the future holds for this specific group.

Today, I found a new twitter account that is dedicated to “exploring the spread of misinformation and disinformation.” While this account is not friendly to the convoy, it does follow livestreams and other social media involving the convoys closely.

Heard on Zello. An AFC group is planning to go to DC tomorrow (April 2) to educate the public. No details about where in DC they are going or what "educating" looks like specifically. The person who gave the info is generally reliable, but no add'l confirmation yet. #convoywatch
